Elliot James were chosen to undertake the design and project management of this lower ground floor apartment of a victorian London town house over looking historic Blackheath near Greenwich.
Tasked with a complete renovation including the removal of several walls and structural changes, Elliot James wanted to create an open plan living space that would cater for a 21st century lifestyle whilst offering a generous sized kitchen and two double bedrooms.
The client wanted the apartment to have a masculine style but wanted to ensure the property would suit couples and families for maximum future purchasing appeal. Elliot James decided on a soft mid-grey for the kitchen with dark solid wood floors. Period coving was installed and a traditional fireplace replaced the 1970s gas fire. The master bedroom was split into two sections with a large open wardrobe taking up the entire wall opposite the large sleigh bed. The size of the bathroom was increased to cater for bath/shower and a second walk in wardrobe was created in the second bedroom.
