The epitome of elegance, this two-bedroom Victorian end-of-terrace apartment in London’s Maida Vale was completely reconfigured and redesigned to highlight its outstanding architectural features, such as the four-metre high ceilings and large sash windows.

The clients were young professionals who needed a flexible space where they could entertain and grow as a family, as well as having a designated area to work from home. Enhancing the sense of space and light was at the crux of the design. An eclectic interior was evoked that complements the existing period features but incorporates contemporary elements. Introducing a clean-lined four poster bed to the master bedroom maximised the generous ceiling height as well as evoking a chic aesthetic. The modern master ensuite was designed to incorporate a rain shower for an indulgent ambience. As a nod to elegant period style, the guest bathroom features a classic, graceful roll top. Finally, an office nook provides essential work space.
